BART//BRATKE lecture at LAVA//AXON Workshop
Paul and Marvin will be giving a lecture at LAVA//AXON workshop in Stuttgart, Germany.
Evolving around the correlations of emergent technologies in architecture, kinetic design and digital fabrication, the studio will give a little insight in their philosophy and current projects.
The lecture will be on Thursday, 30th July at
Lava Offices Stuttgart
The workshop will be about the design and fabrication of a kinetic ceiling sculpture. The workshop will be the first in a future series of workshops and events where LAVA and it’s network of collaborators will open themselves to the outside world. The purpose of these workshops for LAVA is to explore new design methods and innovative technologies and at the same time widen their network.
An axon also known as a nerve fibre, is a long, slender projection of a nerve cell, or neuron, that typically conducts electrical impulses away from the neuron’s cell body. The function of the axon is to transmit information to different neurons, muscles and glands. Similar to the function of a nerve fiber, the function of LAVA-AXON is to connect and transmit information.
